The Daily Front Row reports that Dame Anna Wintour, 75, is stepping down as editor-in-chief of Vogue after 37 years. She stays on as global chief content officer for Condé Nast and the global editorial director of Vogue.
A new head of editorial content role will be created for Vogue. They will report to Dame Anna.
It is part of a wider restructuring at Condé Nast, and has already been rolled out in its other markets, where a head of editorial content reports to a global editorial director.
Wintour was named Vogue’s creative director in 1983, editor-in-chief of British Vogue from 1985 to 1987, before becoming the editor-in-chief of Vogue in 1988, where she reshaped the magazine and upended conventions in fashion media.
