Shazana Nawaz’s Zars London brand has had an A-list boost, as Julia Roberts was seen donning one of its signature ties.

Each Zars tie is handmade and takes 10–14 hours to complete, featuring hand embroidery, embellishments and unique textures. Consequently, each completed tie is unique.

Meanwhile, our own Paula Sweet has been the subject of a recent video by her friend Bill Gourley. Paula’s Muslin Mink is famous—as we remind readers each week with her ‘Couture Comix’—and is beloved by fashionistas and stylists in the know. Bill’s 12-minute video profiles Paula, who begins telling her story from the third grade. By age nine, Paula already knew she wanted to work with her hands and possibly be an artist. The video is interspersed with some of her artwork and designs. It’s well worth a watch to understand what makes our Paula tick and learn about her amazing journey.

Mumbai label Vero Moda has launched its autumn–winter 2025–6 collection, with quality tailoring and fabrics. Look out for rich florals in the main line. It also débuts its Marquée collection with premium occasion wear, including sequinned embroidered, fringe and metallic dresses that pop.
