ITH the
launch of her web site, designer Aurora Fernández has completed
a range designed specially for the internet. Known for elegance
and simplicity, Fernández has already built up a clientèle
that appreciates swimwear that steps outside the everyday styles
found in stores.
The Aurora Fernández lines are not mass-produced
pieces. They are each part of a very limited series. The same philosophy
is applied to her internet range.
Aurora Fernández's designs are not strictly
Spanish. 'It's true that Spain is all the rage at the moment,' explains
Fernández. 'What's more, I can't deny that a good portion
of my background is very Mediterranean, in the full sense
of the word. However, most of work has been developed in Paris and
in the United States, for a very cosmopolitan market.'
