Mr Herold became interested in making clothes
at a early age with a natural touch for drawing and painting, which
helped in deciding to peruse a career in fashion. In 1999 FIT
awarded him a full scholarship, affording him the opportunity to
cultivate his craft. Before this Oliver had attended Marymount University,
receiving a degree in international business. The combination of
the two degrees made Oliver a more in-tune businessmandesigner
than others in the field.
Preparing his first collection to be showcased
at Bryant Park, I have seen the sweat and tears with Oliver in the
creations he has produced and feels extremely connected to. This
collection will be a true testament to a designer who is willing
to take a chance and not show a "conservative" or "safe" collection
as a début.
