Lords
Lords, a little "rocker" store on Melrose, has opened
up to a big audience. Playing off of the LA
trash scene and hard rock roots, Lords has created a sophisticated
look with quite an edge. Our favourite: a sleek white suit was an
option, to be worn with a tight red leather jacket. Belts, studs,
cuffs, and an angry assault on the senses: these were all very fun
and youthful. It is an edgy and welcomed addition to better epitomize
the casual and streetwise LA lifeas
if the entire show was heading over to the Whiskey on Sunset Boulevard.

Frankie B is continuing to make the junior market soar, and LA
loved it. A fur stage added to the psychedelic 60s and 70s
feel that was being demonstrated this season. Each garment was as
though it could be mixed and matched throughout the entire collection,
somewhat of a must these days. Shorter-than-short micro-minis and
jeans were the focus for the women. As for the men, tight-fitting
60s-inspired trousers, and button-up collared shirts in mismatched
patterns were all the rage. Nothing too terribly original as far as
the 60s hipster genre goes; however, I'm sure some hipster in
LA will love it.
