Despite a problem which she spoke of between the
New Zealand organizers and the Miss World pageant, that saw her venture

to Japan to represent her country in the Miss International finals,
she remains very grateful at the chance to experience a new culture—albeit
for a shorter time than other Miss World finalists.
The photos of the event show the personable Amber
with fellow contestants, including Miss Israel, who was the other
noticeable, confident beauty queen. Neither went into the final selection,
with the winners of the categories being rather predictable.
In everyday life, her calm spirituality
has kept her in good stead. A ‘Christian Dior handbag with my
phone—it was full of stuff’ that she loved and saved up for
months for was left in a cab accidentally—some time later it
was returned untouched. She has had the same experience with
a Dior wallet.
