Trends for 2001 at Panos Emporio show a greater
use of patterns and ornaments. 'There is a design trend of moving
away from solid colours,' said Panos. 'The pattern trend is very strong
right now and will continue for some time. This is in keeping with
the trend for individuality.'
The Methoni bikini for 2001, the Kleopatra dress
and the Kilini top are examples.
The Paillot continues
for 2001. The "convertible" outfit also appeals to the 2000s consumer
who wishes to be in control: the manufacturer no longer determines
how an item should be worn. Demand grew substantially this year since
the Paillot was showcased on Bingo-Lotto, which overcame
earlier difficulties in training a large number of sales staff about
the outfit. |
