Scorupco is even a former Vogue Italia cover
girl and after her first movie, Staffan Hildebrands Ingen
Kan Älska Som Vi, she became a teen idol in Sweden. It was when
she accompanied her partner (later husband) Mariusz Czerskawski,
the ice-hockey player, to the United States, that her acting turned
Stateside, when cast in the Martin Campbell-directed Bond, Goldeneye,
which marked the franchise's return to form with Pierce Brosnan.
Several European films followed, including the
big-budget Polish film Ogniem I Mieczem, in which she starred,
before teaming up with New Zealander Campbell for his Vertical
Limit, opposite Chris O'Donnell. Earlier this year, she starred
opposite Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale in Reign of Fire.
