Bobby, a film about Robert F.
Kennedys assassination, premières at Baglionis
Luna Hotel, reports Stanley Moss
Baglioni's Luna Hotel in Venezia hosted a cocktail party on September
5 to celebrate the premiere of Bobby, written and directed
by Emilio Estevez. The film dramatizes the assassination of Robert
F. Kennedy during the 1968 US presidential campaigns. It premièred
the same night at the Venice International Film Festival.
The gala reception was attended by a guest
list of movie industry luminaries including Mr Estevez, Lindsay
Lohan, Christian Slater, and celebrities from the world of fashion
including Svetlana Metkina and members of the Missoni family.
The private reception for 130 was held in the
Luna's elegant Marco Polo room, a vaulted space with monumental
murals attributed to the school of Tiepolo. Chef Cosimo, of Luna's
Canova Restaurant offered the guests a splendour of the restaurant's
singular delicacies, as the guests danced into the night to the
music of the 50s and 60s, compliments of a private orchestra.
