JESSICA ALBA has frequently been considered one of Hollywood’s most attractive actresses, so it’s no surprise that Campari has made her its star in its Club Campari 2009 calendar.

Only 9,999 of the Alba calendars will be produced in a strict limited edition.

Photographed by Mario Testino and directed by Jean-Paul Goude, it also marks the 10th anniversary of the Campari calendar.

The photographs were shot in Malibu, Calif., at the home of a major music producer, who lent it out for the shoot.

Alba arrived on the second day, with her three-month-old daughter, Honor Marie. By the third day, the shots were in the bag, but the commercial took an extra two days.

The photographs all hint at the red branding of the Campari spirit. Some are less subtle, featuring the bottle, while others show the colour. Campari, known for being the base of many cocktails, is associated with sophisticated entertaining, and the calendar images support that.

Jessica Alba herself has donned more make-up than many fans might be accustomed to—but as 2009 begins, the glam look seems to be very much on the cards.

The company launched the calendar at an event on December 2 in Milano.

The Campari recipe was first devised in 1860 and the company claims it has not altered since then. •
