Bulgari turns 125 in style

Bulgari throws a bash for its first retrospective in Roma, and the stars came out

IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE that Bulgari turns 125 this year, and to mark the anniversary, the company opened a retrospective exhibit in Roma on May 20.

Held at the Exposition Palace in Roma, the exhibition is open to the public from May 22 to September 13.

Called Between Eternity and History: 1884–2009, the exhibition begins with the opening of the first Bulgari store on the via Sistina.

Celebrities at the launch included Jessica Alba, Ginnifer Goodwin, Chloë Sevigny, Enrique Iglesias, Selma Blair, Alain Delon, Valeria Golino, Claudio Baglioni and Samantha Morton.

The launch saw Bulgari present the Save the Children fund with 11 unique couture jewels and seven luxury watches, to be auctioned off at Christie’s New York on December 8. The value of the items is estimated at €3 million. •
