Pedro
Mourão
Pedro Mourão is
known for his prodigious attempts to create new silhouettes for
men. His æsthetic is impeccable and it is always refreshing
to see his astonishing perspective.
His last collection was one of the best and, this
season, he has outdone himself again.
The collection, My Oliver Twist, was a
recycled version of his last collections, giving a new meaning to
social consciousness. Pedro is an active designer who defends the
need to reinvent what you have in order to preserve nature and stop
excessive buying habits.
With this idea in mind, Pedro dismantled past
creations, mixed them and incorporated new elements to his collection.
The message behind the concept was, Do I really need this?
Filipe Faisca
There plenty of buzz about Filipe
Faisca, as he had partnered up with Christian Louboutin for
his summer collection.
The Romantic Blurred collection was impeccably
structured, often creating geometrical contours that celebrated
the circle shape and form. In the collection, circles intercepted
among themselves and simultaneously with the body.
Black, white, beige, hot ash, rose skin, red and
old rose were the main colours chosen, in fabrics such as mikado,
crèpe georgette, silk and panama in viscose.
