Mime et Moi

Mime et Moi is German company that has created a series of shoes with five interchangeable heel heights.

From day to night these shoes are the perfect companion for the entire day. The heels can be varied in terms of height, shape and colour and are made to fit easily into every handbag.

The spring–summer 2017 collection, Uptown/Downtown, has a straight design that combines elegance and functionality, and is available in different colours and material. All sets offer three heel height options: 3, 7 and 10 cm.

BeingU
In February 2017, BeingU launches its first lingerie collection created by Sadia Sisay (right), designed for women of all shapes, shades and sizes. The collection features briefs that specially fit the fuller bottom shape and five styles of bra that work from a 28 to a 44 back and up to an H cup.

BeingU’s mission is ‘to enable women to embrace their skin colour and body shape, to feel treasured and beautiful, through the wearing of beautiful underwear designed with their body in mind. Making women feel “visible” is at the core of this brand.’

‘I’ve spent over 30 years searching for gorgeous underwear to suit my skin tone and body shape and this is the first range that addresses these things,’ says Sadia. ‘We know from a survey conducted for BeingU that a staggering 82 per cent of women surveyed across the USA and UK said they did not find it easy to find lingerie similar to their skin tone and 94 per cent of respondents said they would buy skin tone lingerie if it was available.’

Clare Vivier
LA-based designer Clare Vivier has released a brand new design, Alice, a collection of handbags hand-made by a cooperative of women artisans living in and around Kitui in eastern Kenya. The first two versions of the Alice bag are available at www.clarev.com, and a smaller version will be released in spring 2017. The Alice is a circular vintage luggage, with pronounced edges that gives this bag a beautiful shape and structure. The purchase of each bag directly contributes to building sustainable businesses for women in Kenya.

New Balance
New Balance has released a new silhouette for men, the 247 Luxe, a premium style designed to wear from day to night. The 247 features a buttery leather upper and synthetic nubuck stretch bootie, perfect for a contemporary look.

In New Zealand, the 247 Luxe is available to buy at newbalance.co.nz and retailers Loaded, Good as Gold, Ballantyne’s and Fallen Front.

New Balance Global Lifestyle vice-president Shinishi Kubota says, ‘The 247 is the first new model created as part of our commitment to create footwear designed for our evolutionary concept, “Style of Your Life”. A nod to our iconic styling but a major step forward in representing the intersection where sport and life meet.’
