Naturopathica stood out as one of the brands at the Organic Spa event for our editor Lola Cristall

During Organic Spa Magazine’s 11th annual exclusive Wellness and Travel Media event held at the Pierre, a Taj Hotel, an iconic Manhattan destination, a handful of prominent and celebrated brands gathered together to discover organic beauty, healthy habits as well as tranquil moments through travel, meditation and activities that fully rejuvenate the mind, body and soul.

Liz Vaccariellio, the newly appointed editorial director-at-large for Organic Spa Media and Wellness Media Company, hosted the gathering that included eight insightful panel discussions during the 2023 Wellness Around the Globe Symposium as well as carefully selected table activations presenting brands that specialize in travel destinations, wellness journeys and beauty, as well as wellness factors.

Various products included Humphrey’s Witch Hazel’s certified organic custom crafted distillation cleansing pads) that tackle dirt and impurities from the core, Aura Cacia’s range of uplifting essential oils as well as Golden Earth’s array of aromatherapy products that include uplifting chakra wellness oils, carefully handcrafted soothing potions concocted by homeopath Elizabeth Golden. Kohler Water Spa of Wisconsin, Glen Ivy Hot Springs located in California, as well as Blackberry Mountain of Tennessee were some of the many destinations that were on hand to present attendees with their captivatingly insightful histories and picturesque reels.

The festive event also served as the backdrop for the unveiling of the new biannual Organic Spa Magazine: the Art of Wellbeing bookazine with Vaccariellio and Bev Maloney-Fischback, CEO and founder, revealing the much-anticipated cover that is set to launch in the autumn of this year.

One of many brands that truly stood out was Naturopathica, founded by Barbara Close. Naturopathica revealed a substantial range of natural skin care products induced with predominantly natural ingredients to revive, replenish and rejuvenate the skin from deep within the pores. The extensive products rely on an assortment of natural components. The Marshmallow and Probiotic Sensitivity Cream Cleanser rids the skin’s contaminants to unveil a lustrous and radiant look. From cleansing to moisturizing, the Gotu Kola Intense Repair Balm appeases dehydrated skin thanks to a well chosen concoction that includes raspberry seed oil, candelilla wax, olive fruit oil and gotu kola, which is also considered the ‘herb of longevity’. The Oat Cleansing Facial Polish, made with oat protein, jojoba beads, sesame seed oil, rose flower oil and various beneficial elements, is another product that cleanses while also exfoliating the skin for an everlasting and glowing effect. Naturopathatica also welcomes guests to their New York spa locations in Manhattan and Long Island, which offer relaxing settings with highly knowledgeable æstheticians.

Glowing skin and lush hair contribute to one’s confidence. Masami, translated from the Japanese as ‘become beautiful’, provides vegan hair care products that are enhanced with the nutritional attributes of Mekabu seaweed, known to provide an excellent source of calcium and vitamins. Sourced and grown off the Sanriku coast in northern Japan, Masami collaborates with a local seaweed farming family. Lynn Power, CEO, and her team offer a range of Masami products that work to revive one’s mane from the follicles without the use of sulphates, parabens, phthalates or alcohol.

With an abundance of products within the food and beauty industry, Vanessa Gordon, founder and publisher of East End Taste Magazine, knows a thing or two about the brands. The Hamptons native hosted her fourth annual Hamptons Interactive Brunch at Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor in support of Victory 4 the Voiceless Animal Rescue. The event brought an intimate group of guests together in a beach and nautical-themed setting. Produced by the celebrated Tickets2Events duo, Sean Koski and Brian Kelly, the atmosphere was lavish and enticing. Some of the many sponsors included skin care and make-up brand Banila and Co., Odyssey Elixir, which offers a range of drinks induced with mushrooms, OmniPillow for a proper beauty rest, New York City-based cosmetic dermatology group UnionDerm, Dylan’s Candy Bar and Delola Spritz’s sparkling cocktail selection.

Guests mingled as they overlooked the hypnotic views of the water. While sipping on a cocktail or indulging in a frozen yoghurt by Buddhaberry, there was an element of culinary decadence, sophistication and Hamptons flair.

Bradford Rand, of Rand Luxury, hosted his annual private charity brunch, Hamptons Concours, benefiting Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. A slew of prominently sophisticated companies were on site including Ferrari of Long Island, McLaren, Manhattan Motorcars, and Louis XIII. Taking place at Kenneth and Maria Fishel’s private estate in Bridgehampton, the large lot revealed collectible as well as newer motorcars, exclusively hand-rolled cigars by Cohiba, and Telmont champagne. •
