Mister’s tailoring is getting more stylish and stronger each season, and spring–summer 2010–11 continues this trend

Mister’s spring–summer 2010–11 line takes its inspiration from the water, writes Sopheak Seng

 

MISTER’S SUMMER 2010–11 collection Water World is inspired by an aquatic theme, of a liquid life in the ocean. The collection is filled with intense splashes of colours of coral and reds reminiscent of a tropical reef mix backed with the classic summer sky, aqua blues, seafoam greens and speckled sand tones. Prints feature heavily in the collection with kitschy summer-themed shirts dominating this season, with striped fish, seashell and seaweed prints to cute sharks with sunglasses. As with all Mister collections, fabrics are an important focal point. For this upcoming season, you will be spoiled for choice: there is everything from light-as-a-feather shirting, snugly sweat shirting, liquid sheen and wetsuit-feel cottons, sharkskin-effect denims to New Zealand-made knits for their Ts and cardigans. Mister has always been about well tailored garments and this season sees an even more focused concentration with two new styles introduced into their repertoire. First, the casual hooded jacket made in sweat shirting for easy summer wearing and, secondly, the inside-out Chameleon jacket, made from two different-weight cottons which gives you versatility and options to change when the mood suits. Shorts are a great summer item for men for both casual or formal occasions and Mister does a great selection. The best are the beach towel checked shorts: throw on the matching tailored jacket and it is a funky and smart alternative to the classic two-piece suit. With pieces this good you will look amazing.
