LUCIRE HAS
reported on every guest-designer collaboration at Hennes
& Mauritz, and in June, we
announced that Jimmy Choo would team up with the Swedish-HQed
retailer.
The fruits of those labours were shown
this week with a release date in November, with 200 stores
carrying the range.
The Jimmy Choo for H&M
range has shoes, of course, from high heels and thigh-high
boots to gladiator flats and ballet pumps, says
the company, including a cropped Cuban-heel boot.
There are animal prints, crystal embellishments,
among other features.
Clothing has what the company calls a gloss
Goth feel, accented with sequins, embroidery and
crystals. Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon has used asymmetry,
primary colours and leather leggings to convey a
sense of power and independence, while men have sweaters,
wool blazers and leather biker jackets.
Accessories, evening clutches, day bags,
studded and wide belts, choker necklaces, bracelets,
cuffs and earrings are part of the range.
Says H&M
creative adviser Margareta van den Bosch, This autumn,
Jimmy Choo brings vitality and sexy glamour to H&M.
I love the really high strappy sandals with lots of decoration
and attitude, matched with clean-cut, 80s-inspired clothes.
Designer Tamara Mellon always shows her amazing shoes
with equally amazing clothes, and we wanted to offer
our customers a complete collectionincluding
mens shoes and clothes, too. I think this collection
suits anyone with a flair for fashion and high heels.
