Luna Novias’ new line, Luna Studio, appeals to brides who demand luxury, detailing, and beautiful embroidery.

The princess dresses feature voluminous skirts in embroidered tulle with lace. There are off-the-shoulder and sweetheart necklines, combined with corset backs, beadwork straps and detachable puff sleeves.

Lace is front and centre for the Luna Studio mermaid-style wedding dresses, using large lace medallions and beading. They suggest enhancing this with couture overskirts or tulle with appliqué details or building on volume with underskirts—volume is very much the trend as we head into 2023. There are also crêpe mermaid-style dresses with inlaid lace at the waist, skirt or hem, complemented by a new cape design that drifts from the shoulders and recalls a veil, with lace appliqués over the tulle.

The line also has offerings departing from the traditional bridal dress: there are stylish trouser dresses to which a tulle overskirt can be added; and corset-style bodices for a touch of heritage. The contemporary designs include dresses in crêpe with cups and boning, and couture dresses in matte mikado, brocade or satin, with structured bodices and strapless, square or draped necklines.

New lace bodices feature strapless sweetheart necklines embellished with micro guipere lace, lace trips and 3D appliqué detailing, says Luna Novias. They add that they can be paired with skirts in georgette, tulle, lace and crêpe.
