The Museum of London is hosting a session where a curator will explain the making of its recently opened re-creation Georgian pleasure garden on August 24, from 1 to 1.45 p.m.
The pleasure garden is complete with tress, park benches, a pavilion, drama and costumed mannequins, with Philip Treacy hats and Yasemen Hussein wigs. The garden is an immersive experience giving visitors a real sense of what it was like to go to a pleasure garden in the Georgian period.
The free session features a film sequence and discusses the challenges the curators faced when preparing the exhibit.
