The Copenhagen Fashion Festival has been taking place over the last few days, and we’ve finally got our hands on some of the video from the Danish capital.
Danish designer Peter Ingwersen showed his spring–summer 2011 Bllack Noir collection, which originally sprung from his Noir label in 2008, at the Zen nightclub. Ingwersen is one of the Danish designers Lucire has kept an eye on, thanks to his push toward sustainability and corporate social responsibility with his labels.
The collection pays tribute to rock chicks, inspired by Lady Gaga. Medina, one of Denmark’s most celebrated pop singers, led the models on the catwalk. Live music was performed by Danish duo Electric Lady Lab.
Henrik Vibskov, meanwhile, presented his spring–summer 2011 collection outside in the centre of the H. C. Ørstedsparken in København.
The highlight for royal-watchers, as well as a good deal of the Danish press, was the visit by HRH Crown Princess Mary to Øksnehallen, where she met designers, watched a fashion show, and presented prizes to the winners of the Designers’ Nest Awards.
We have highlights from both the Bllack Noir and Henrik Vibskov spring–summer 2011 collections and comments from Ingwersen himself. We also have a compilation from Crown Princess Mary’s visit.
