Further videos from London Fashion Week include footage from the autumn–winter 2011–12 shows of Jasper Conran, Louise Gray, Margaret Howell, Acne, Antonio Berardi and Mulberry.
Conran blended east and west, continuing the trend of head wraps and scarves that began emerging in spring. Gray went dotty, tapping into the same inspiration that Marc Jacobs had; Howell stayed classical with well designed basics; while Acne, of Sweden, showed it was the master of leather not just for jackets, but trousers and T-shirts.
Antonio Berardi’s show was particularly strong, with plays on asymmetry and volume, and his eveningwear was fit for the red carpet immediately.
Mulberry saw the celebs pile in—Gemma Arterton, Kirsten Dunst, Olivia Palermo (who has been seen at a lot of shows this season), Nicola Roberts and Fearne Cotton among them—and delivered a collection that brought the English countryside into autumn–winter wardrobes.
