Christian HendricksRosie Huntington-Whiteley was really in the Zeitgeist through 2011, and the announcement that she had won the Icon Award at the Elle Style Awards last night capped an incredible year for the model-turned-actress.
She collected her award from actor Cuba Gooding Jr.
In the videos below from our colleagues at ITN, Christina Hendricks, David Gandy, Professor Green, and Dizzee Rascal talk fashion and women’s style, though, as with the BAFTAs, Whitney Houston’s sudden passing remained on people’s minds.
Gooding, Ronnie Wood and Rascal give their memories on Houston. Gooding says he was ‘devastated’ and finds it ‘surreal’ that she had passed away. He recalled that she was ‘always smiling’ and ‘energetic’.
On the red carpet, Eddie Redmayne, meanwhile, tells ITN that he is not celebrating Valentine’s Day in a romantic style. He and Derek Jacoby are performing a play for HM the Queen.
On a positive note, the stars at the Elle Style Awards, including Alexa Chung, are happy that Adele had scooped six Grammy Awards over the weekend.
