Aucklanders in the centre of the city can now enjoy Nespresso from its new boutique on the corner of Customs and Queen Streets, which opened at the end of last week.
It wasn’t just the great coffee and coffee machines that made Nespresso’s new venue sparkle, but the 1·5 m square artwork from Anna Leyland, which used 2,000 capsules, that is displayed on its wall.
And plenty of Auckland VIPs were present to help cheer on Nespresso, with host Guillaume Chesneau, its country manager, and Dave Hewitt, senior brand manager, playing host to Jeremy Hansen, Erin Simpson, Samuel Levi, Amanda Linnell, Rachel Sloane, Alex Bunnett, Kelly and Nic Watt, Lizzie Leuchars, Matilda Rice, Art Green, Terenzo and Kelly Bozzone, Nicole Antonelli, Caitlin and Dean Taylor, Megan Lynch, Kent and Sarah Hutchings, Nehe Milner-Skudder, Hanna Tevita, Rachael McMahon, Brooke Fairgray, Dave Hewitt, Steven Luatua, Robett Hollis, Jerome Kaino and Emma Rock.
In keeping with the artistic theme, sand artist Marcus Winter demonstrated his skills in a display especially created for Nespresso, and DJ Marina Katerina performed her sounds.
‘We are thrilled to be positioned in the heart of Auckland’s constantly evolving CBD alongside a number of other premium brands, and believe it will provide better convenience and greater accessibility to Nespresso,’ said Chesneau.
Nespresso’s new model, Nespresso by KitchenAid, is at the boutique, and, as with the other boutiques, Club members can recycle their used Nespresso capsules in-store.
The Queen Street boutique is Nespresso’s fifth in New Zealand.
