Sir Elton John and David Furnish hosted the Elton John Aids Foundation’s 31st annual Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, with special guests Eric McCormack and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and Rina Sawayama performing live.
Other guests included Emma Watson, Brooke Shields, Soo Joo Park, Donatella Versace, Thurso Mbedu, Taye Diggs, Apryl Jones, Hilary Duff, Smokey Robinson, Simona Tabasco, Patricia Arquette and Eric White, Nile Rodgers, Charlotte Tilbury, Michael Imperioli, Tori Kelly, Wallis Day, Sophia Bush, Saweetie, Odette Annable and Dave Annable, Nia Vardalos, Natasha Bassett, Kevin McHale, Kesha, Karen Pittman, Julia Butters, Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete, Cheryl Burke, Amber Riley, Tiffany Haddish, Stephen Sanchez, Lucien Laviscount, Kyle Richards, Maren Morris, Mickey Guyton, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Chris Levine, Evan Mock, and Jeremy O. The Viewing Parties have raised millions for the Elton John Aids Foundation since their inception in 1992.
Last year, Sir Elton was unable to attend as he was touring. This year, the iconic songwriter and singer said he was overjoyed to reunite with friends and be at the event.
Judy and Leonard Lauder co-sponsored the 2023 event, with the collaboration of the City of West Hollywood, American Airlines and Tequila Don Julio.
