Claiborne Swanson Frank for Veronica Beard
American brand Veronica Beard has extended into handbags for spring 2024.
The hero style is dubbed the Goody Bag, made from canvas and leather, and worn either as a cross-body, top-handle or shoulder bag. Retail is US$448.
Other styles range from US$398 to US$698, and include totes, bucket bags and camera bags. The bags themselves feature the company’s trade-mark crest, or design touches that reference it. The range is available now at Veronica Beard boutiques in the US, including its flagship stores in New York, Miami and Beverly Hills, plus its London location, as well as online at veronicabeard.com.
The campaign has been shot by Claiborne Swanson Frank in Beverly Hills.
Founded by sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard in 2010, the company has worked with Simone Way, a handbag manufacturer, to realize their vision.
It marks the third category for Veronica Beard, after footwear and denim.
Swanson Beard noted, ‘The Veronica Beard uniform has always been the cool classics for the woman on-the-go: a tailored jacket, great jeans, and chic boots. Handbags are a natural extension of that. We are so excited to round out our lifestyle offering and give our customer everything she needs to complete her look.’
Miele Beard added, ‘When we started designing handbags, we thought a lot about what would complement our customers’ lifestyle. We want to give her the dream handbag, crafted with luxurious materials and finishes, a bag that is chic, timeless, and versatile.’
The official launch will be at a private lunch at Château Marmont in February.
