We always like seeing these success stories. Scarlett Lanson of Sedona, Ariz. might have missed out on the top three placings in the Swarovski Create Your Own Style design contest last year, but as she’s 17, she has plenty of opportunity to make her mark in years to come.
And even a fourth placing means her design is touring the world with Swarovski.
With the 2008 competition (themed Be Naturally Inspired) round the corner, Lanson has submitted a collection that apparently has shades of Cirque de Soleil. The competition is judged strictly on the pieces: the judges do not know who has designed what.
Lanson has collaborated with Interweave Press, a craft media company in Tucson. We await the results of this year’s Swarovski competition to see how well she has done.
