Michael Hill Jeweller‘s international competition, ‘The Ultimate Engagement Ring: Search for the World’s Best Couple’, has found its winner: Shariyah and Cameron Morris of New Zealand.
The Morrises have received their prize, a 22 ct princess-cut diamond ring, from TV celebrity Kim Kardashian and jeweller Michael Hill at Lavo Restaurant on East 58th Street in New York City.
New Zealand-born Cameron met US-born Shariyah while working as a travel agent in Seattle, according to a release. Shariayah had accepted a job as a nanny for a Seattle family and Cameron (the family’s travel agent) was asked to handle her travel arrangements. Their story can be found here.
The couple will attend news conferences in Toronto and Chicago over the next two days.
The judging panel for the international competition, which ran over six weeks, included authors Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City) and Kathryn Eisman (How to Tell a Man by His Shoes), former DA and television judge Jeanine Pirro, and Michael Hill himself.
