The company which is now Audi was founded in 1909 by August Horch, and its centenary will be celebrated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. As the ‘featured marque’ at the event, those attending will see historical Audi models, including the famous Auto Union C and D Type racers, and the rally-conquering Audi Quattro. New models will also be on show, some for the first time in Britain.
Audi has managed year-on-year record sales in the UK, ending 2008 with a 4·7 per cent market share, with 100,845 cars sold.
