Last year, we said the Fiat 500 would be the Car to Be Seen in—and this year, more people are getting on board the popular retro-styled subcompact car.
After celebrating Barbie’s 50th anniversary with a pink 500 last week (below), Fiat has announced that British top model Jodie Kidd was the first Briton to take part in the company’s Eco test drive, highlighting the benefits of environmentally friendly motoring.
Customers who visit a participating Fiat dealer will be offered the opportunity to take an Eco drive. Fiat has designed a program for its Blue & Me entertainment system where a driver’s techniques are measured along environmental criteria. A USB key enables the EcoDrive (eco:Drive in Fiat’s spelling) system to record the information. The key is then inserted into a computer where the driver’s style is analysed and tips are given.
The Fiat 500, Grande Punto and Bravo models are EcoDrive-enabled.
