Held within the grand setting of the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Jaeger-LeCoultre hosted the 80th anniversary of its iconic Reverso timepiece. The theme for the evening: capturing your magic moment.
The CEO of this world-renowned brand, Jérôme Lambert, welcomed 800 guests to the event, which was accompanied by a musical programme from Nouvelle Vague artists Mareva Galanter, Julien Dore and Helena Noguerra. Among the guests were Catherine Deneuve, Diane Krüger accompanied by Joshua Jackson, Clive Owen and Adrien Brody, all of whom are brand ambassadors. Designer Barbara Bui, Indian Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Italian skipper Giovanni Soldini and Michelin star chef Sergi Arola were also invited guests. During the evening, celebrity guests were able to tell of their experiences with the Reverso and Krüger presented the new Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin, personalized with an engraving of her initials.
The story of the Reverso began in Paris on March 4, 1931 with the ﬓling of a patent for the invention of a watch capable of sliding on its base and flipping over on itself. Actor Clive Owen showed his enthusiasm and appreciation for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso and its history, exclaiming that ‘in its time, it was a real innovation and it remains an iconic watch.’—Vicki Matias
