Due for release in August 2011, OPI will launch its spring selection of colours, the Touring America collection. The colours, inspired by OPI executive VP and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann’s recent road trip across the United States, allow women to take a trip across America without having to leave the comfort of their home.
Comprised of everything from the cool neutrals of khaki to the vibrancy of coral, the selection aims to revive otherwise classic and traditional nail colours into something new and unique. According to the manner of inspiration for the collection, the colours are titled in ways reflecting regional landmarks or icons from across the US with names such as ‘My Address is “Hollywood”’ and ‘I Eat Mainely Lobster’. The diversity of the colours, ranging from the more masculine khaki to the feminine peach, appeals to range of colour palettes and styles, mirroring the trends seen on the runway this season.
Starting at NZ$24·90 each, the nail colours do not contain any formaldehyde, DBP, or toluene and include a ProWide brush for easier application. Available at Farmers, Professional Salons, Life Pharmacies, Kirkcaldie & Stains Nail Spa, Smith & Caughey’s, Ballantynes and Arthur Barnett, these colours offer the perfect way to complement any wardrobe this spring.—Sabine Ernest
