Dita von Teese’s self-designed, limited-edition, retro-glam fashion line, called Dita von Teese Muse, will be sold in Australia through David Jones exclusively, says Lime Door Brands, a part-owner in the brand.
The launch collection will feature five pieces, including vintage-inspired dresses and a tulle-layered trench coat, says the company.
Couture detailing, corsetry, and silk crèpe de Chine lining feature in the collection, with a narrow colour palette of black and red, and a rose print.
Von Teese herself will launch the brand in October and will wear one of the items at Derby Day during the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.
With Australia confirmed, Lime Door Brands CEO Michele Hamdorf says retailers in the UK, the US and Europe are being negotiated.
Australian sizes 8 to 20 will be catered for. The range reaches David Jones in November.
