Pernod Ricard has made two announcements for its brands as 2012 opens. First, André Agassi has been signed for three years to be a global ambassador for Australian wine brand Jacob’s Creek, the timing coinciding with the Australian Open (January 16–29).
The promotions link Agassi’s passion for tennis and staying true to it with Jacob’s Creek’s own heritage of wine-making.
Promotional videos featuring interviews with Agassi can be found at the Jacob’s Creek website.
Across the Tasman, in New Zealand, Brancott Estate shakes off its interim branding, refreshing the entire range.
The previous brand largely kept the look adopted when Brancott Estate was known as Montana in all markets except for the US.
With the new global name firmly established after a year, Brancott Estate has made its logotype and packaging more contemporary. The label has the Brancott vineyard, where the first Marlborough sauvignon blanc grapes were planted, at its centre.
The new look débuts early February.
