Among those new labels getting exposure for the first time at Wellington Fashion Week recently was Love Hotel, the work of former Lucire team member Ella Garland-Levett, and her sister, Harriet, both of whom are graduates of Massey University.
The label has gained the support of Buy New Zealand Made, and will retail at Kirkcaldie & Stains in Wellington from September.
Its current collection features sheer dresses and kimono style layers, beautiful screen-printing detail, Parisian lace pieces, as well as fabulous oversized berets. The range has a romantic feel tempered with classic black and bold polka dot pieces. The label can be found online at www.lovehotel.co.nz and on Facebook.
Roanna Bell’s review of Julian Danger can be found in the main part of the site, while Mardle was featured earlier in the news section. A story on Miss Abigail, another new label that caught our attention at Wellington Fashion Week, will follow shortly.
