Blake Lively, in a Zuhair Murad black corset fishtail gown, heaped praise on co-star Salma Hayek at the première of Savages in Los Angeles.
‘It was amazing to work with her as a villain because we were such good buddies personally, so when she would turn into her character it was always fun to see how talented she is,’ says Lively. ‘She’s such a tiny lady so to see her to take control and take the power, that was remarkable.’
Hayek, wearing a figure-hugging, shimmering jade dress, was not thrilled that the film was violent, but ‘it’s strange, because it’s so beautiful,’ she says.
The film also stars Benicio del Toro and John Travolta. Oliver Stone directs.
It reaches the UK on July 6.
