Angelina Jolie says she will step back from acting when her children reach their teens in a TV interview with Britain’s Channel 4.
The star, who raises six children with fiancé Brad Pitt—Maddox, 11, Pax, 9, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 6, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 4—says, ‘I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit their teenage years.
‘I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even been able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered, and I have done things for fun.
‘I’ll do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job. It’s a very lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it but if it went away tomorrow, I’ll be very happy to be home with my children.
‘I wake up in the morning as a Mom and I turn on the news like everyone else. I see what is happening. I want to be part of the world in a positive way.’
Jolie is currently 37. Pitt is 48 and says he would consider retiring at 50.
