Last night, Johnnie Walker opened its Johnnie Walker House Beijing, which the brand claims to be ‘the world’s largest embassy for luxury Scotch whisky outside of Scotland.’
Diageo had already opened a Johnnie Walker House in Shanghai in 2011. The new boutique, which blends retail, club and artistic space, is located at Ch’ien Men.
Guests included Brian Gallagher, Karen Mok, Zhang Yadong, Duan Yihong, Pace Wu, Xander Zhou, Andy Chen, Tia Ray and Chen Su.
Among the offerings at the House are unique blends, and well-heeled customers will be able to specify their own.
Elisabetta Franchi has opened her first single-brand store in Milano, at via Manzoni 37, with a cocktail party on Wednesday.
The 168 m², two-storey store blends Franchi’s signature values of elegance, class and charm, with a modern, minimalist design and the use of tinted mirrors, steel and cement.
The prêt-à-porter designer said in a release, ‘This space is something in between an intimate, luxurious apartment, and your typical New York boutique. Its mood is based on several contrasts: precious fabrics and natural colours, contemporary collections in a classy environment. It re-creates the chic and bon-ton atmospheres I love so much.’
Franchi plans openings in other locations, including Amsterdam, Lisbon, Maasmechelen, Dubai and Jakarta, she says.
Haha. This is pretty cool. Those bottles are really beautiful too. I would buy a bottle just for the design and art work on it. XD
