Hair removal specialist Marzena has developed a range of innovative products already, and its latest is no exception. Its Post-Wax Calming Body Oil helps remove excess wax that’s left, and calms the skin. It’s made in New Zealand from a 100 per cent natural origin oil blend. The blend includes hemp seed oil and evening primrose oil to calm skin, heals with mānuka oil, and hydrates with apricot kernel oil and jojoba oil. Retail price is NZ$16 for 110 ml, available online at marzena.com.
Staying with New Zealand, Nevé (www.neve.co.nz) has a range of scented candles, room sprays and wood wicks. The candles are hand-poured in Hokitika and use 100 per cent natural soy wax and FSC-certified wood wicks from sustainable US timber mills. There are seven fragrances (using phthalate-free fragrance oils from vendors who meet the IFRA standards), plus limited-edition ones launched each year. A dollar from each order currently supports Trees That Count, a charity planting native trees in New Zealand.
The seven scents are kōwhai blossom and lime, pink peony and prosecco, French pear and brown sugar, black raspberry and vanilla, pomegranate and juicy mango, whiskey and wood smoke, and wild pine and Juniper berry. Summer pōhutukawa and passionfruit pavlova are two limited editions for Christmas 2022. The candle jars can be refilled.
Finally, jewellery designer Nick Von K has shown his Blossom collection, using diamond and New Zealand pounamu from Hokitika. The collection comprises eight pieces, six in gold and two in sterling silver. The core piece is the Blossom ring in 18 ct gold (NZ$2,500), with earrings, studs, and other rings in the range priced from NZ$175 to NZ$4,200. Available now at nickvonk.com.
