Turana Atash’s modest swimwear is one of the most stylish ranges we’ve seen. Founded in 2023, the luxury swimwear and resort wear label brings quality and style, with a belief that high fashion and modesty can complement each other. The results speak for themselves.

The Turana Atash symbol, meanwhile, crosses west and east: you can make out the TA initials, but also the word sea (بحر) in Arabic calligraphy. Atash, which translates to flame, is also represented in the symbol.

Releasing on Monday, March 18, Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer and Airwrap multi-styler will be released in a special edition with ceramic pink and rose gold tones, in time for Mother’s Day. Says Duo-Hue founder Amelia Ayerst, who has worked on colour, materials and finish for Dyson: ‘Pink is a timeless colour that gains new interpretations in the design world, year on year. Pale pink was chosen for this edition to add a touch of elegance and warmth, perfectly embodying the inspiration behind it: the pearl. By incorporating pale pink, we aim to create a sense of softness and sophistication, enhancing the styling experience with a new æsthetic.’

The Supersonic will retail at NZ$699 and the Airwrap at NZ$899.

Second Guess Press is beta-testing a new line of highly functional, affordable notebooks, designed for desktop, pocket, handbag and backpack. The line, which will launch under the brand name Dày Bük (officially all in lowercase, dày bük) in autumn 2024, features minimal graphic design, spacious pages with elemental grids, and no superfluous messaging. The brand and designs will be available for international licence.

Prototype versions are currently available on special order, but final product is not expected until September. Travel editor Stanley Moss, who conceived the notebook, says he is ironing out the details, for a product that will be worth the wait.

‘I never saw a notebook whose dimensions were just right for me, which eschewed a lot of typographic confusion and was attractively priced. Overdesign, unnecessary visual distractions and unnecessary cost was always the case. Dày Bük aspires the meet the everyday needs of busy people: functional, beautiful, economic, easy to use,’ he says.

Finally, Chanel ambassador Jennie (김제니), who has fronted the house’s Coco Crush line since 2022, has joined Lily-Rose Depp as the new muse of the Première Édition Originale watch. Inez & Vinoodh directed the campaign films.
