Tumi has released a handbag line, Asra, with German-born South Korean actress and model Moon Ga-young (문가영) fronting the campaign for the collection. Bibi Cornejo Borthwick shot the campaign, with C. Prinz directing.
The designs work for day and night, with feminine appeal. They feature pleating and a knotted shoulder strap, with an exterior microfibre-lined pocket for sunglasses or a cellphone, an coordinated hardware. A leather monogram charm is sold separately.
The Asra bags come in three sizes and four colours, with Matte Black at the core, complemented by Moonlight, Cameo Rose, and Purple Sunset, the latter inspired by the landscapes of Sentosa Island in Singapore, says the company. Retail prices range from US$350 to US$495.
‘We offer more than just state-of-the-art luggage,’ said Tumi senior vice-president of marketing and e-commerce Jill Krizelman. ‘We have accessories and beautiful products that serve as the perfect complement to a busy lifestyle.’
The global campaign launch took place in Singapore.
