New Zealand luxury bridal brand, Trish Peng, showed her 2024 collection, Colpo di Fulmine, at the Mélange de Blanc luxury bridal market in New York.

The collection is subtitled ‘Love at first sight’—the translation from the Italian—and is described by the designer as ‘A modern romance combining classic silhouettes with artistic touches’.

Peng says the the collection was inspired by her own wedding venue with the same name. Located in Queenstown, New Zealand, it has been called the town’s slice of Italy.

The venue had a romantic, traditional feel which Peng wanted reflected in her collection.

‘Every dress in the collection is one that I could envision gracing the grand stairs or aisle of the dreamy ceremony setting. A blend of timeless and classic designs with a touch of something special achieved through the draping as well as incorporation of nature-inspired elements such as the 3D flowers to beautifully harmonize with the ambiance of the venue,’ she said.

The collection is available from her Auckland boutique now, followed by international retailers and trunk shows.
