People magazine reports that model Adriana Lima and basketball player Marko Jari? are engaged.
Jari?’s publicist, James Weir, says that the proposal was on Thursday night, on Lima’s 27th birthday.
The pair had been dating for nine months.
Lima, who hails from Salvador, Brazil, is one of the world’s most recognizable models and a star on the catwalk in the late 1990s and through the 2000s. Lucire ?rst spoke with her in 2001.
Her Victoria’s Secret contract helped turn her into the fourth-highest earning model this year, according to Forbes.
Belgrade, Serbia-born Jari?, 29, plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
