Forbes has announced its table of the world’s top-earning models for 2010, with supermodel Gisèle Bündchen (left, pictured for Hope Lingerie) heading the list at US$25 million, the same figure as last year.
The rankings were little changed from 2009 and the top five placeholders were the same, save for some differences in the numbers.
Heidi Klum and Kate Moss are second and third, with US$16 million and US$9 million respectively. Moss had improved slightly from her US$8·5 million figure from 2009.
Adriana Lima was fourth with US$7·5 million. Dutch model Doutzen Kroes came fifth with US$6 million.
Alessandria Ambrosio slipped to sixth this year, with US$5·5 million, a tie with Natalia Vodianova, who made the same amount last year.
Daria Werbowy remained in eighth at US$4·5 million, again with no change on her 2009 position.
Miranda Kerr increased her estimated earnings by US$1 million to US$4 million, but could not beat her ninth position from last year.
Carolyn Murphy also increased her estimated earnings, by US$500,000 to US$3·5 million, but came in tenth.
The magazine believes the rankings changed little because companies were risk-averse with new faces during a recession.
The estimates are for the period between June 2009 and June 2010. In 2009, it listed the top 11; the previous year, the top 16. Forbes’s story, with analysis, is here.
