Wellington fashionistas got a taste to summer style last Thursday with the preview of the upcoming season’s Taylor collection.
The summer collection is an exciting new direction for Taylor as she has introduced pops of bright colours of lime, sea-foam blue, blood red and aubergine into the collection, which is a rarity for the label that predominately uses black and white as a palette.
As always the clothes were beautiful, simple and chic as ever, with amazing tailored jackets mixed with beautiful draped dresses and tops. It was also an exciting opportunity to see up close the intricate work of label Athina, Greece-based knitwear designer Kourbella Ioanna, stocked alongside the Taylor label.
Guests were served sake cocktails with plum wine and berries along with sushi.
Favourite pieces for the coming season would have to the Circle dress which can be worn a multitude of ways, the Liberty pantsuit, Dohji pants and Soldier dress.—Sopheak Seng
