Miss Nebraska, Teresa Scanlan, is Miss America 2011, crowned at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, on Saturday. We have video from the event, hosted by the incomparable Robin Leach, including a shoe parade for DSW Shoes, an appearance by Miss America 1955, Lee Meriwether—the original Catwoman, as Leach is keen to point out—and Miss Nevada, Cris Crotz, wowing the local crowd.
Scanlan, 17, is one of the youngest winners of the Miss America pageant, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.
She was crowned by her predecessor, Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron; 1971 winner, Phyllis George, was also on stage during the crowning.
