Chanel has sent us the latest images for Rouge Coco Shine, its next lipstick, with singer–actress Vanessa Paradis as its spokeswoman.
Paradis is a confessed fan of Karl Lagerfeld, who she calls a man who ‘looks well beyond fashion’ in a recent interview with our colleagues at Marie Claire.
As mentioned in our last article on this site, Rouge Coco Shine has 25 semi-sheer shades, with a soft texture that becomes fluid on contact with the lips.
Made from wax and plant-based Phytosterol derivatives, Rouge Coco Shine gives a subtle colour.
The 25 shades’ names take leaves from Chanel’s history books. The signature shade is dubbed Boy, and is an easy-to-wear rosewood. The reference is to the affair between Gabrielle Chanel and Capt Arthur ‘Boy’ Capel. Capel had financed Chanel’s first shops.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine will retail for NZ$59; call (0800) 957-352 in New Zealand or visit www.chanel.com for retailers.
