Cannes videos: Pirates conference and première; Léa Seydoux interview

ITN has released its video of the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides première at the Cannes Film Festival (for photographs from the press conference and première, click here). Depp discusses how he came up with the Capt Jack Sparrow voice, while Penélope Cruz talks about keeping a straight face during dramatic scenes while shooting with her co-star.
Meanwhile, Jason Solomons chats to Léa Seydoux about her role in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, where she plays a parisienne working at a flea market. It is Seydoux’s second year in the opening film at Cannes (the event, she states, ‘makes you dream’), and, as Solomons notes, neither of them has been a French production.
Seydoux began her acting career in France with French movies, notably La Belle Personne, for which she received a César. She has since caught the eye of Hollywood, having been cast in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, and the forthcoming Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, directed by The Incredibles’ Brad Bird.
