To commemorate an auction of memorabilia owned by I Dream of Jeannie and Dallas star Larry Hagman, the actor and former Dallas co-star Linda Gray took to riding on horseback down Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California.
Hagman, 79, and Gray, 70, promoted the Larry Hagman Collection, being auctioned both online and by Julien’s Auctions on June 4.
Over 400 items are up for auction. The Hagmans have been collecting antiques, collectibles and memorabilia for nearly half a century. On the block are a Edward Bohlin Diamond Supreme sterling mounted parade saddle, an 18th-century Spanish Colonial painting of the Madonna and Child, an antique Italian credenza, a Rosewood Regency drop leaf table, a set of ten Chippendale style dining chairs with needlepoint upholstery, a British sterling silver tray, artworks by Rhonda Roland Shearer, Barton Benes, Bruce Killen and Kristina Hagman, and Dallas scripts.
There are also items from the estate of Mary Martin, Larry Hagman’s mother, and the actress who originated the roles of Nellie Forbush in South Pacific and Maria in The Sound of Music. Auction highlights from the Martin estate include a cast-signed sailor hat from South Pacific and a Giannini acoustic guitar used in The Sound of Music.
