Snapr, whom Lucire readers might remember gave real-time cellphone photos during New York Fashion Week a few seasons ago, is launching another fun initiative, called Capture the Flag. This photo-sharing game for Iphone, Android and other web-enabled phones, sees people join tribes, “capturing the flag” at various locations by taking photos and checking them in. It can share with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Foursquare, and you can get extra points if your friends ‘like’ your photos or write comments.
The best thing is that you can get deals throughout New Zealand playing the game: 42 Below created Carnival to help you find the best nightlife spots, Burger Fuel is offering deals to users of the app nationwide via its tribe Hambo, V has created the high-powered robot Mecha tribe, and Moa beer has brought its signature bird back from extinction. Jucy Rentals is supporting a tribe and will help tourists get their hands on SIM cards provided by 2degrees (sponsors of the Kiwis) that come loaded with mobile data, says Snapr.
New Zealand 100% Pure is sponsoring six tribes and recommending 100 must-see destinations across the nation with chances to win great prizes via a national photo popularity contest. There’s more at capturethefl.ag.
