Redefining Max for spring 2012

News

July 17, 2012/12.37

Max takes a leap into spring 2012 with the introduction of three new collections that will make you want to come back for more.
Each new collection takes you on a journey, beginning with Hacienda. The sense of theatre and the power of the flamenco give a Spanish feel. Textures and colours in this collection are rich enough to let your worries disappear while you dance away in a beautiful red dress, among the many offerings.
The next stop is In the Garden. Fall into a bed of romantic flowers and let your mind run free, from Granddad’s garden to the Chelsea Flower Show. Be daring and the envy of all your colleagues by rocking the floral jacket (NZ$179) and pant (NZ$129) which are going to be big hits this spring.
The final collection for spring, To Catch a Thief, is the last stop of the journey. A glamorous yet uncomplicated chic atmosphere to relax. ‘Think a culmination of a St Tropez sunset promenade, along with the classic effortless lines of a true ’50s Hollywood starlet,’ says the release, alluding to the Cary Grant–Grace Kelly film of the same name. There are warm pastels and simple lines that make this collection appropriate for everyone.
Along with the three beautiful collections for spring, Tailored for Max is a different type of collection. It will now be a permanent destination in stores where you can find all your corporate wardrobe needs. It is a 15-piece collection that comprises of tailored work wear pieces that are tailored for an impeccable fit.
All Max pieces are available in store and online. Hacienda and the Tailored for Max collections are on sale now; In the Garden is available from July 30; To Catch a Thief from August 27.—Julia Chu
