Jane Iredale has held a photographic competition in the lead-up to Air New Zealand Fashion Week. The brief: to design a high-fashion runway look in keeping with Fashion Week using the Jane Iredale product.
Katie Elliott of Essentially Skin, Whangarei, has won the competition, taking away $1,000 in Jane Iredale product, a luxurious night at Sky City Grand, and a chance to be on the Jane Iredale make-up team at the Verge Breakthrough Show at Fashion Week.
Judges Nikki Lovrich, make-up artist and make-up guru for TV’s 10 Years Younger, and Kevin Mendelson, Jane Iredale’s International Make-up Educator from Los Angeles, chose Elliott because ‘her look was fun, sexy and well executed for her face. The make-up was well applied and in keeping with the brief, the overall look very suitable for a fashion magazine with just enough attention to hair and wardrobe to pull it together without it taking over,’ according to the company.
Chrissy Arnold of Fairy Fingers, Tauranga, came in second place; Hine Hiroti of the Edge, Wanganui, was third. They took home a selection of Jane Iredale products.
A people’s choice award will be announced September 15—netizens can vote till September 12 at www.janeiredale.co.nz.
